Bollywood: 'Saansein' is a romantic-horror flick. No wonder, the songs are high on emotions with an eerie background music.
The album opens with a romantic number, 'Mera Ishq', by Arijit Singh, Ash King and Swati Sharma. The music is familiar and pleasing to the ears. High on instrumental insertions, the track has Hindi as well as English lyrics.

Armaan Malik, who is known for his mellifluous voice, shows his prowess in 'Tum Jo Mile', which is another romantic number. 'Tum Ho Mere' in Najam Bajwas voice is a slow track but is nothing to write home about. 'Dil Ye Khamakha', sung by
Dev Negi, stays with you long its over, thanks to the haunting chorus and upbeat percussion. Shibani Surs soulful voice uplifts 'Royi', a song which dwells on loneliness. The background score, too, needs a special mention. There are two bonus tracks in the album but neither of them provide any value addition. One is a reprised version of 'Dil Yeh Khamakha', sung by Nikhil Dsouza. The only thing common between the original song and this one is the electronic sound. 'Tum Jo Mile Unplug' by Amit Gupta and Pratap Dodla lacks the acoustic elements that one expects from such tracks.
The album, though pleasing in parts, doesnt offer anything new.
